Woody and his wife Steina Vasulka are known as early video pioneers. Gene Youngblood once nominated them as the 'center of electronic videoculture': In early 70's they established the electronic video theater 'The Kitchen'. In 1992 they curated the "Eigenwelt der Apparate Welt: Pioneers of Electronic Art" exhibition at the ARS-Electronica in Linz, Austria.
The interview took place at 17 and 18 april 2004 at ZKM Karlsruhe, Germany.
